WMT Q1 2024 Highlights: AirNode Sales Platform Launch, Global Expansion, and Community Milestones

Zanzibar and Pakistan saw impressive network growth, with numerous new AirNodes deployed throughout the quarter. By the end of March, Zanzibar had 646 AirNodes, while Pakistan reached 839. Expansion efforts focused on both urban and rural areas, improving connectivity for businesses and consumers alike.

In the USA, World Mobile made significant strides in Reno, Nevada. The team, led by Nevada Regional Manager Christian Rees, continued acquiring deployment site options, testing equipment, and preparing for the AirNode Sales Platform launch. AirNodes are now being installed on rooftops across the city, with branded units showcasing World Mobile's presence.

The Road to Mainnet saw several key developments, including updates to the Scan for Points feature, the introduction of new AirNode hardware, and continued progress on various technical initiatives outlined in the Roadmap Report.

World Mobile's presence at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona was a resounding success, with the team securing awards and making major announcements. The company also celebrated International Women's Day by highlighting stories of how connectivity has transformed education for women in Zanzibar.

The WMT token saw consistent buybacks throughout the quarter, with the total buyback balance approaching the 1 million WMT milestone by late March.
